Job Overview I am looking for a female carer with experience supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. The ideal person will enjoy going out into the community, have a bubbly and cheerful personality, and knowledge of baking and enjoy baking.
The carer must be a driver with their own car.
35 hours per week guaranteed.
Work place : Basingstoke
Responsibilities
- Supporting the client to access the community safely and confidently using your own car.
- Encouraging personal care routines while promoting independence and dignity.
- Planning and participating in enjoyable activities, including baking and life-skills development.
- Providing emotional support, reassurance, and positive engagement.
- Following care plans, risk assessments, and maintaining accurate daily records.
- Working hand in hand with the family to ensure consistent, person-centred support
Skills
- Valid driving license and a car owner with the ability to drive safely and confidently
- Experience working within a home care environment is desirable
- Knowledge of creating and following personalised care plans
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and updating records electronically
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and active listening
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently whilst prioritising client needs
- Experience with LD with cheerful & warm character
