Restaurant Manager | Full Time Position – KONJÖ
SALARY: £28,000
HOURS: Full Time | 3.5 Day Working Week (Wednesday-Saturday)
LOCATION: Kelham Island, Sheffield
KONJÖ is seeking a passionate, driven and experienced Restaurant Manager. This is an exciting opportunity at of one of Sheffield's most exciting casual dining concepts, delivering exceptional guest experiences whilst helping drive the continued growth of the brand.
You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, lead and develop the team, maximise business performance and ensure every guest receives the warm, energetic service that KONJÖ has become known for.

Created by Luke & Stacey, KONJÖ is the casual sister restaurant to MICHELIN-starred JÖRO, bringing bold Eastern Asian-inspired street food to Kelham Island.
KONJÖ has quickly established itself as one of Sheffield's favourite independent restaurants. Sustainability sits at the heart of what we do, making use of carefully sourced ingredients and surplus produce from JÖRO to minimise waste whilst creating dishes packed with flavour.
Alongside the restaurant, KONJÖ has become an exciting events brand, catering at major festivals and events including The Rolling Stones Hyde Park, Lost Village Festival, Lord's Cricket Ground, and many more, with ambitious plans for continued growth.
Your Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of KONJÖ, ensuring every aspect of the guest journey reflects our values of quality, energy and genuine hospitality. You'll lead by example, inspire the team and continually look for opportunities to improve standards, grow sales and develop the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, ensuring consistently exceptional guest experiences.
- Managing, motivating and developing the team.
- Delivering outstanding customer service whilst maintaining KONJÖ's unique atmosphere and personality.
- Opening and closing the restaurant, ensuring all operational procedures are completed correctly.
- Managing reservations and maximising restaurant capacity.
- Driving sales through upselling, specials, drinks and promotional activity.
- Managing staffing levels and labour costs in line with business requirements.
- Recruiting, training and developing new and existing team members.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and supporting team development.
- Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and excellent communication.
- Managing stock control, wastage and weekly stock takes.
- Ensuring menus, POS systems and retail products remain accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation throughout the venue.
- Completing daily food safety records alongside weekly Health & Safety and Fire Safety checks.
- Supporting corporate bookings, private dining events and external catering opportunities.
- Working with the Directors to continually develop the KONJÖ brand, guest experience and future business opportunities.

- Previous Restaurant Management experience within a quality-led hospitality business.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Calm, confident and professional under pressure.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of labour, stock control and profitability.
- High standards of personal presentation and attention to detail.
- A proactive, positive attitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Passion for food, drink and creating an exciting dining experience.
