Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our dynamic family run team. In this vital role, you will operate a Class 2 vehicle equipped with a Hiab crane, delivering and unloading goods with precision and safety. Your expertise in flatbed and commercial driving will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in logistics and customer service.
Duties:
- Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle with a Hiab crane to deliver goods to various sites, including construction, industrial, and commercial locations
- Load and unload using the Hiab crane, ensuring secure placement and load.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee safety compliance and vehicle readiness
- Plan efficient delivery routes to meet schedules while optimizing fuel consumption and reducing delays
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and inspection reports
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
- Maintain your dedicated lorry.
Experience:
- Valid Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record
- Current HIAB ALLMI Lorry Loader Certification
- CPC + Digi Card
- Hands-on experience operating a Hiab is highly desirable
- Reliable, safe, and professional attitude
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Previous delivery driver experience in fast-paced environments is preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading repeatedly throughout shifts
- Wagon & drag experience beneficial but not required
Pay: £42,000.00 per year
