Hendra Holiday Park is a family-run, five-star, multi-award-winning destination in beautiful Newquay, Cornwall. We're proud to offer memorable holiday experiences for our guests and are now looking for a Grounds Operative to join our friendly, dedicated team.
Set across 50 beautifully maintained acres, we take immense pride in the presentation of our park, something we’ve been recognised for with numerous awards. We are currently looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual to join our experienced team.

The Role
You will play a vital role in keeping our grounds in top condition, ensuring our park looks its best for every guest. Working hours are primarily weekdays, with some weekend work required during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain flowerbeds and landscaped areas, grass cutting,
- Strimming, and hedge maintenance,
- General weeding and seasonal grounds up keep,
- Safe operation and basic maintenance of gardening equipment,
- Follow daily tasks set by the Operations Manager
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for reliable, friendly, and proactive individuals who:
- Have previous experience in a groundskeeping, gardening, or similar role
- Relevant qualifications such as LANTRA or PA1/PA6 Pesticide licence
- A full, clean driving licence
- Are quality-oriented in their work
- Have a strong work ethic
- Are able to take on-board constructive advise where necessary
