The Role
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be the face of Cleveland Cable Company across your territory. This is a highly active field sales role designed for someone who loves building face-to-face relationships and driving business growth.
Your week will be structured for success:
- 4 Days on the Road: Visiting 4 to 5 clients per day, managing existing accounts, and identifying new business opportunities.
- 1 Day in the Office: A dedicated admin day at our branch to catch up on paperwork, follow up on quotes, and strategically plan your diary and client calls for the following week.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow relationships with electrical wholesalers, contractors, and industrial clients across the Newcastle region.
- Achieve sales and gross profit targets through proactive account management and business development.
- Identify client requirements and provide accurate, competitive quotes.
- Plan your weekly travel and meeting schedule efficiently to maximize client face-time.
- Collaborate closely with the internal sales and branch support teams to ensure seamless customer service.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Sales Experience: Experience in field sales, account management, or business development (experience within the electrical, cable, or construction industry is a major advantage, but not essential).
- Excellent Relationship Builder: Ability to connect with people easily, from on-site contractors to purchasing managers.
- Highly Organized: Strong time-management skills to balance a busy road schedule with your weekly administrative duties.
- Self-Motivated: A target-driven individual who thrives working independently in the field.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
