About This Role
Term time - our service user attends school. The shifts start at the home at 7am to help get him ready/personal care and clinical tasks etc, the worker will then go on the school bus with him and get him to school once he is in school the school bus then takes the worker back to his home and then finishes shift. For the afternoon shift the school bus will collect the worker from his home take them to the school collect him and take them back home then the worker will assist at the home or out in the community until end of shift.
The weekend hours are to try and get him out and about in the community.
Non term time instead of supporting to school and back this would be to get him out and about in the community and doing activities etc
Clinical Experience
Previous experience supporting adults with complex healthcare needs is desirable.
Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.
The specific clinical competencies required for our client are:
- Medication
- Epilepsy management
- Central line/TPN
- Gastro
- Suctioning
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
- Full UK driving licence.
