Housekeeper / Property Caretaker (Self-Employed) We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our family-run holiday accommodation business.
We take great pride in offering exceptional holiday homes and are looking for someone who shares our high standards and attention to detail. This role is much more than cleaning. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the properties, notices the little things, uses their initiative and genuinely cares about presenting each home to a consistently high 5-star standard. Punctuality and reliability are essential due to guest arrival times, and the successful candidate must be flexible, organised and able to work efficiently without compromising quality.
The role includes: -
Cleaning and preparing holiday homes to a consistently high 5-star standard.
- Making beds and presenting each property beautifully for arriving guests.
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and all living areas to an exceptional standard.
- Maintaining hot tubs, ensuring they are clean, presentable and ready for guest use (training can be provided if required).
- Cleaning internal and external windows where needed. - Sweeping patios, maintaining outdoor furniture and keeping gardens, entrances and outdoor areas tidy and welcoming.
- Assisting with some aspects of laundry.
-Checking inventory after each stay, reporting and photographing any damage or missing items
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly and carrying out small practical tasks where appropriate.
- Taking pride in ensuring every property remains in excellent condition and is always guest-ready.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an excellent eye for detail.
- Be proactive and use their own initiative.
- Be trustworthy, honest and dependable.
- Take pride in their work and genuinely care about guest satisfaction.
- Be physically fit and happy working both indoors and outdoors.
- Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred).
This is a self-employed position with regular work available. Job Type / Category
This is on a contractor/self employed basis so all tax/national insurance must be dealt with personally. Paid weekly.
Shifts are available 7 days a week with a flexible Rota scheduling.
Average hours are 16 hours per week.
Usual hours are 11.00am-3.00pm over 3/4 days a week Mon-friday but often includes a Sunday and the odd Saturday.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
No experience is necessary as we are just looking for someone with passion, drive and ambition as we are a growing business we just need someone with an eye for detail with the right personality to take the holiday home to the next level.
