Mechanical Fitter
Location: Deeside Industrial Estate
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Pay: £15.50 per hour
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking mechanical fitters to join our client's team.
You will work on brand-new HGVs and tipping bodies, carrying out fitting, assembly and mounting work in line with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with good practical skills and experience using workshop tools. Previous HGV or commercial vehicle experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on brand-new HGV vehicles including Scania, Volvo, DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes and Renault
- Fit and assemble hydraulic tipping equipment from leading manufacturers including Meiller, Edbro, Binotto, Harsh and Hyva
- Mount HGV tipping bodies onto vehicle chassis
- Fit rear and lateral components to tipping bodies
- Carry out basic automotive electrical work, including warning systems, sheeting systems, weigh systems and body builder modules
- Use a range of power and pneumatic tools including mag drills, drills, impact guns, grinders and rivet guns
- Follow worksheets and manufacturer instructions to complete jobs accurately
- Operate an overhead crane when required (full training provided)
- Occasionally work off-site to support the service team
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment
- Keep the workshop and work area clean, organised and tidy

Previous HGV, vehicle body, mechanical fitting or fabrication experience is desirable but not essential.
A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the location of our sites.
