About Us: Precision Peripherals Ltd is the UK’s largest independent printer services company, providing expert on-site engineering support for a wide range of printing technologies. Due to expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and vastly experienced Field Engineer to join our team.
Job Overview: We are looking for a professional and dedicated Photocopier MFD Field Engineer Specialist to provide on-site engineering support to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Photocopier and MFD printing technologies, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site service, repair, and installation for our specific manufacturer Microplex.
- Diagnose faults, troubleshoot, and carry out necessary repairs efficiently.
- Set up and configure scanning, drivers, and networking solutions.
- Work with a range of devices, including Microplex, Ricoh & Konica Minolta photocopiers.
- Install, configure, and support industry-specific software.
- Maintain strong customer relationships, offering technical advice and support where needed.
- Train our existing engineers at certain periods on Microplex, Ricoh and Konica Minolta.
- Work alongside our DCA Team and preempt copier parts required and machines EOL using data provided.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of service visits.
- Travel within South Wales and surrounding areas, with frequent travel further afield as required.
Key Requirements:
- Essential: Photocopier experience, with a strong understanding of service, Installation and maintenance.
- Connect equipment to customers PCs and networks by installing print drivers on servers and local PCs. Set up scanning and other functionality over the network.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced network MFD related issues.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on various printing devices.
- Analytical problem-solving approach to electromechanical faults.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Desirable: Experience working with industry-specific software is an advantage.
- Familiar with working to KPI's and SLA's.
