Project Manager Opportunity NorthernIreland
Mivan is a dynamic and progressivespecialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation forexcellence and innovation. We are currently looking for an experienced anddriven Project Manager to establish and successfully co-ordinate and manage thenecessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget andto the clients satisfaction.
Candidates should have extensiveproject management experience on new build and fit-out type projects,preferably but not essential from a Marine fit-out background and a third levelqualification in a related subject or experience in a similar ProjectManagement role. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute with strongleadership and people management skills and the ability to negotiate andinfluence.
The role is predominately office basedin Antrim, but as a Project Manager, there will be a requirement to travel tolocations throughout the world to oversee project delivery.
Main duties will include:
- Develop a project plan and ensure thenecessary resources are organised to meet the plan. Continually monitorprogress and take all necessary steps to ensure the completion date is met.
- Develop a project budget and ensure theproject is delivered within that budget.
- Ensure that all work is carried out tothe clients specifications and ensure that all those engaged on site haveup-to-date information and adhere to the project plan.
- Ensure that the project resources i.e.staff, labour, plant, materials, and sub-contractors are effectively managed.
- Liaise with clients and their agents toadvise on progress and problem resolution as required.
- Ensure the Company Operations andSafety Management Procedures are implemented on the project.
- Ensure site administration systems areset up to accurately record and document site records.
- Ensure contractual conditions areadhered to and the contractual position is not compromised.
- Establish clear targets, reportingprocesses and procedures so that all reporting functions are working toconsistent standards. Develop, maintain, and measure staff performance againstthese targets.
- Monitor the financial performance ofthe project using the Cost Value Report and take all necessary steps tominimise costs.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Extensive project management experienceon new build and fit-out type projects, preferably but not essential from aMarine fit-out background.
- Excellent leadership, organising andcommunication skills
- Third level qualification in a relatedsubject or experience in a similar Project Management role
- Ability to plan ahead and organiseworkload
- Sound commercial acumen, cost awarenessand IT skills
- Ability to build and promote successfulcustomer relationships
- Willing to travel as extensive travelthroughout the UKwill be required
