Overview
Due to the company increasing in size and workload, we are looking for a young and enthusiastic individual to join our commercial department to aid the commercial manager as an assistant buyer. This is an exciting opportunity to join and learn the workings of the new build plumbing sector of construction and progress in your role within the company.
Responsibilities
Process and placement of purchase orders
Pre order of materials for upcoming works
Maintenance and stock management of company stores
Comparisons on prices and quality from approved suppliers
Price checking of purchase invoices
Maintain and update purchase ledgers
Review and update of material kit lists
General administrative support to the management team
Skills and qualifications
GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English (essential)
Have or aim to have a full driving licence
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The position is based in Atherton, Manchester.
you must be able to commute to and from the office on a daily basis.
Pay: £14,560.00-£23,132.20 per year
