About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cleaning Manager to join our team at our state of the art all digital Omniplex Cinema on Renfrew Street.
The Cleaning Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the cinema, its public areas and other agreed areas of responsibility are maintained to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
This is a hands-on management role which will involve leading and supervising the cleaning team, organising cleaning schedules and rosters, monitoring standards and ensuring that all cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
The role will also include responsibility for cleaning and maintaining specified adjoining premises and/or communal areas within the landlord’s premises where these areas fall within the cinema building’s cleaning responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
· Take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, hygiene and presentation of the cinema.
· Ensure all screens, foyers, corridors, stairways, public areas and other relevant areas are cleaned to the required company standard.
· Ensure cinema seats are regularly cleaned and maintained free from litter, debris and other materials.
· Ensure all litter is removed from screens, seating areas and under seats and disposed of appropriately in accordance with company procedures.
· Ensure toilets, foyers and other communal areas are cleaned and maintained to the required standard.
· Oversee the cleaning of staff areas, back-of-house areas and other areas within the cinema as required.
· Ensure agreed adjoining or communal areas within the landlord’s premises are cleaned and maintained.
· Respond promptly to cleaning issues, customer feedback and requests from the management team.
· Monitor levels of cleaning materials and equipment
· Lead, supervise and support the cleaning team on a day-to-day basis.
· Allocate duties and ensure adequate cleaning cover is maintained across all shifts.
· Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, performance and conduct, escalating concerns to the General Manager where appropriate.
· Responsible for the recruitment, selection and training of cleaning team.
· Responsible for rostering of cleaning team with guidance from the General Manager.
· Conduct regular checks of team performance and provide feedback where standards need to improve.
· Ensure all cleaning activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
· Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored, handled and used in accordance with COSHH requirements and company procedures.
· Maintain appropriate cleaning records, checklists and inspection documentation.
· Support the cinema management team in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
Essential
· Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, facilities or similar supervisory/management role.
· Experience of supervising or leading a team.
· Good organisational and time-management skills.
· Ability to manage cleaning schedules and prioritise workload.
· Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and take responsibility for cleaning standards.
· Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning operations.
· Ability to follow and implement company procedures.
· Knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of cleaning chemicals

Hours: Based on a 40 hour working week, with flexibility required to meet the operational needs of the cinema. Early morning and day time hours required. Cinema operates across a 7 day week.
