We are looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable and proactive Early Years SEND Practitioner to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in children’s early development.
This position is dynamic and responsive to the needs of our children. Your role may include:
- Working on an enhanced ratio to provide focused support for one child or a small group of children, as well as additional hours supporting the team with 0-5 year olds throughout the setting
- Planning and delivering targeted intervention groups
- Implementing strategies and recommendations from external professionals (e.g. Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists)
- Supporting children across the wider nursery environment to ensure inclusive practice
- Promoting communication, emotional regulation, social interaction and independence skills
- Supporting behaviour through positive, consistent and relational approaches
- Observing, assessing and accurately documenting progress
- Working closely with families to ensure consistent support between home and nursery
This role requires flexibility, initiative and strong reflective practice.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children with SEND within an Early Years setting
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice
- Is confident implementing targeted interventions and adapting provision
- Has excellent communication skills and builds strong partnerships with families
- Is organised and confident in maintaining accurate records
- Can work independently while also collaborating effectively with the wider team
- Is calm, patient and solution-focused
- A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above) is desirable. Additional SEND training or experience is highly valued.

Licence/Certification:
