Great Britain Cycling Team
The Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT) is the country’s most successful Olympic and Paralympic team in history, with high ambitions to continue this legacy in LA 2028 and beyond.
We are a highly driven and motivated team of skilled and passionate individuals working together to support athletes across seven cycling disciplines, to achieve their full potential and deliver world-beating performances on the biggest stages.
Now is an incredibly exciting year to join the Great Britain Cycling Team, fresh off the back of winning 11 Olympic and 22 Paralympic medals at the most recent Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, as well as having recently celebrated 20 years of the GBCT pathway.
What will you be doing?
GBCT is seeking an exceptional individual who will lead on creating and co delivering an aspirational performance coach development strategy as the Head of Coach Development.
This pivotal role is key to ensure that coaching remains a competitive advantage for the team through the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 cycles. The role will lead on the overall development of coaching and the performance of coaches in the Olympic Podium, Paralympic and Pathway areas of the programme.
The priority area of focus will be the LA2028 podium coaches, with development strategies designed around the demands of both individual athlete plans and discipline demands.
Executing the role like a ‘Coach Development Quarter Back’ they will be driven by the discipline performance plans to create strategic ‘plays’ maximising the network of expertise in the UK Sport system, professional sport as well as targeting specialized expertise in a variety of sectors.
