Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable person to join our project in a hands-on role that involves various aspects of construction, maintenance, and repair work. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, including proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised trade techniques. Work scope: install / repair wood panelling, install a new door, rebuild wooden fridge enclosure, build wardrobe & build cupboard. Other potential work: build windows to be fitting into existing wooden frames.
Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out construction, repair, and maintenance tasks.
- Perform welding tasks to join metal components safely and efficiently.
- Conduct masonry work, including laying bricks, blocks, or stones as required for project specifications.
- Assist with carpentry duties such as framing, fitting, and finishing work.
- Carry out roofing repairs or installations with attention to safety standards.
- Undertake heavy lifting to move materials or equipment safely around the site.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transporting materials or personnel between sites.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
Experience
- Proven experience in trades such as welding, carpentry, masonry, wood work, and general construction is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is essential.
- Experience in heavy lifting and physical labour roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate large vehicles confidently is advantageous.
- Prior exposure to working on diverse projects involving building repairs or installations will be beneficial. This role requires a dedicated professional with practical skills across multiple trades who can adapt to varying project demands while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Pay: £220.00 per day
