Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Multi-Skilled Shopfitting Joiners to join our expanding site team.
This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work and enjoy delivering high-quality projects throughout the UK.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Shopfitting Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality first-class fit-out and refurbishment works on commercial projects including restaurants, retail units, cafés and leisure venues.
Working as part of a site team, you'll ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the exceptional standards our clients expect.
The role involves working nationwide, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of first and second fix joinery.
- Install bespoke joinery, wall panelling, counters, bars, seating and display units.
- Fit doors, frames, ironmongery, skirting, architraves and flooring.
- Install suspended ceilings, IPS panels and decorative finishes.
- Read and work from construction drawings and site plans.
- Carry out minor building works where required.
- Complete snagging works to a high standard.
- Work alongside Site Managers, subcontractors and other trades.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Represent Onyx DB professionally whilst working on client sites.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial fit-out or shopfitting.
- Excellent first and second fix joinery skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to work nationwide.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Drylining and partitioning.
- Suspended ceilings.
- Flooring installation.
- Fire door installation.
- Kitchen and bar installations.
- Shopfront installations.
Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent experience).
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- PASMA.
- IPAF.
- SSSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Face fit testing
