Job Description: Commercial Insurance Account Handler
Location: Castle Donington - DE74 (may include travel to other office locations in Nottinghamshire if required)
Reports to: Head of Finance and Insurance
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 – depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and professional Insurance Account Handler to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in insurance broking, customer service, or sales who thrives on delivering outstanding client care and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
· Handle day-to-day enquiries, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims support
· Provide professional advice on insurance products and cover options
· Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive terms for clients
· Identify opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell insurance products and services
· Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures
· Support Account Executives in maintaining and growing client accounts
Skills and Experience
· Previous experience in an account handling, broking, or sales role – commercial lines
· Strong knowledge of insurance products and markets
· Previous experience working with Acturis
· Excellent communication and client relationship skills
· Proven ability to identify and convert sales opportunities
· Ability to prioritise workload and work accurately under pressure
