We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Marketing Manager to lead the strategic direction of marketing across RSM Group.
Working across RSM Fuel Delivery, RSM Fuel Services, RSM Drain Solutions and RSM Fuel Cards, you will be responsible for developing and steering the overall marketing strategy, ensuring our activity supports wider business objectives and delivers measurable results.
The role involves marketing to a diverse range of audiences. RSM Fuel Services, RSM Drain Solutions and RSM Fuel Cards operate within the B2B market, while RSM Fuel Delivery serves commercial, domestic and agricultural customers. You’ll need to understand the different needs of these audiences and develop targeted marketing strategies and campaigns that effectively reach each one.
This is a strategic and technical role, with responsibility for analysing performance, identifying opportunities and making informed decisions about where our marketing efforts should be focused. You’ll work closely with the wider marketing team to turn the strategy into effective campaigns and ensure all activity is consistent, on-brand and aligned with our objectives.
You’ll also play an important role in developing the wider marketing team, sharing your knowledge, providing guidance and delegating tasks and projects while encouraging a collaborative and creative environment.
We are looking for someone who can bring proven experience, strategic thinking and fresh ideas to a growing marketing function, while being willing to get involved in the detail when required.
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy across the RSM Group
- Align marketing activity with wider commercial and business objectives
- Develop targeted strategies for different industries, audiences and customer journeys
- Develop and manage Account Based Marketing strategies and campaigns
- Oversee Google Ads and other paid marketing activity
- Develop and oversee social media and email marketing strategies
- Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure all content and activity is on-brand and aligned with the overall strategy
- Plan and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels and audiences
- Analyse campaign performance, website data, lead generation and other key marketing metrics
- Use data and insights to identify opportunities, make informed decisions and continually improve marketing activity
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and changes in the marketing landscape
- Set clear priorities and delegate tasks and projects effectively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to understand commercial priorities and identify marketing opportunities
- Manage marketing budgets and ensure spend is focused on activity that delivers results
- Identify new channels, tools and opportunities to improve RSM’s marketing performance and reach
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Proven experience working in a marketing management or senior marketing role
- Strong B2B marketing experience is essential
- Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies across multiple channels and audiences
- Proven experience with Account Based Marketing
- Strong knowledge of Google Ads and paid digital marketing
- Proven experience with social media and email marketing
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret campaign data and turn insights into actionable decisions
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how marketing activity contributes to lead generation, customer acquisition and business growth
- Able to manage multiple campaigns, channels and priorities effectively
- Confident delegating work and managing projects
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to coach, support and develop less experienced members of the marketing team
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of work
- Experience within environmental, drainage, fuel, fleet management, engineering or similar industries would be advantageous, but is not essential
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
