Care Assistant – NVQ Level 3 Required

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to join our friendly and dedicated team.
As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence. You will provide person-centred care, build positive relationships and help create a safe, welcoming and homely environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
- Follow individual care plans and ensure each resident receives care tailored to their needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support.
- Encourage residents to take part in activities and maintain social interaction.
- Record care accurately and document support as it is provided.
- Report any changes in a resident’s health, behaviour or wellbeing to the Senior Care Assistant or Manager.
- Communicate professionally with residents, relatives, colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Support residents to attend appointments or social activities when required.
- Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and privacy at all times.
What We Are Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a care home or similar care environment.
- A kind, patient and compassionate approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence following and contributing to individual care plans.
- Good attention to detail when completing care records.
- Basic IT skills.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A genuine desire to improve the lives of the people you support.
- A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
