Duties
- Operate a Class 2 commercial vehicle, including flatbed trucks, during night shifts to deliver goods to various locations efficiently and safely
- Secure loads properly using flatbed techniques, ensuring cargo integrity throughout transit
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Navigate delivery routes using GPS and maps, adhering to traffic laws and safety standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and route sheets
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle to uphold company standards and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving licenses for Class 2 vehicles
- Demonstrated knowledge of flatbed loading and securing techniques for various types of cargo
- Prior experience operating large vehicles during night shifts is highly desirable
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and clients
- Valid driving license with the appropriate endorsements for Class 2 vehicles
