GS Facilities Management Ltd is looking for a reliable and hardworking Recycling Operative to support our waste and recycling operations across customer sites.
This role would suit someone looking to supplement their current income, including:
- Recently retired individuals
- Someone with another part-time role
- Self-employed workers looking for additional days
Work is expected to be around 4 full days per month (sometimes more or less depending on business needs), with the potential to develop into a permanent role in the future.
About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on position working both independently and as part of a small team. The role will mainly involve sorting waste and recycling materials, always working with the waste hierarchy in mind — prioritising reuse, recycling, and recovery before disposal wherever possible.
You may also be required to:
- Drive a Luton van between customer sites
- Assist with collections and recycling projects
- Carry out manual handling and lifting tasks
- Maintain clean and safe working areas
- Deliver excellent customer service while representing GS Facilities Management Ltd professionally
What We’re Looking For
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude
- Comfortable working independently and outdoors at times
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual lifting
- Mechanically minded
- Full UK driving licence required
- Experience in recycling, waste, warehouse, or labouring roles beneficial but not essential
- Flexible approach to work and availability
