Packing Operative
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Packing Operatives o join our growing production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
As a Packing Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our products are packed accurately, safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Pack products accurately and efficiently in line with specifications and quality standards.
- Set up, operate and monitor filling and packing equipment.
- Carry out routine quality checks and record production data accurately.
- Complete line clearances to ensure production areas are ready for new jobs.
- Label, code, count and move finished products to the correct locations.
- Maintain excellent hygiene standards and follow all health & safety procedures.
- Meet production and changeover targets while minimising waste.
- Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and production processes.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a production, packing or manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of hygiene, quality and health & safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Confidence working with machinery (full training provided where required).
- A reliable, organised and positive approach to work.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to producing quality work and getting things right first time.
- The flexibility to support different production areas when needed.
- The ability to thrive in a busy environment where some tasks are repetitive.
The working hours for this role are on a rotating early and late shift:
Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:00 til 14:00, Fridays 06:00 - 12:30
Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:00 til 22:00, Friday 12.30 - 19:00
This role is suited to someone who is tidy, well-organised, and takes pride in their work. You should be able to follow verbal and written instructions, have a strong awareness of health and safety practices and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
