Duties
- Prepare and cook authentic Caribbean dishes, incorporating traditional spices, herbs, and cooking methods
- Oversee food production processes to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation meet brand standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety protocols
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks efficiently, and foster a collaborative kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Assist in menu development by introducing new Caribbean-inspired recipes and seasonal specials
- Serve as a leader in maintaining high standards of hospitality by delivering excellent service to guests
Skills
- Proven culinary experience with a focus on Caribbean cuisine or similar cultural flavors
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
- Skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation excellence
- Experience in food production planning and inventory management
- Exceptional communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring guest satisfaction
Pay: £12.71-£19.88 per hour
