Ben Knight Gardens are one of the leading gardening companies in the Cotswolds. We offer garden design, consultancy and maintenance services and have an impressive portfolio of projects, gardens and clients.
We require a full time, experienced and knowledgeable Gardener to join our expanding team. They should have worked in the Horticultural industry for at least 2 years and ideally hold a relevant qualification, such as RHS Level 2. They should also be polite, discreet, friendly and personable.
Duties
- Maintain and enhance our range of gardens.
- Effectively carry out all aspects of gardening tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, digging, mulching, lawns mowing, strimming, edging, hedge cutting, clipping topiary, sweeping, raking leaves.
- Assist with garden renovations, involvement with projects and planting up gardens to drawn designs. To liaise and communicate with our clients in a polite and respectful manner.
- To keep tools and vehicles clean and in good, serviceable order.
- Safely use a variety of equipment and power tools such as mowers, strimmers, hedgecutters etc.
- Work both independently and as part of a friendly team.
Skills
- Be enthusiastic, willing to learn but also willing to teach and share your knowledge.
- Personable, friendly and a team player.
- Be able to operate a range of machinery and tools.
- Basic plant knowledge.
- Ideally a Horticultural qualification RHS Level 2 or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards.
- Good physical fitness to perform manual tasks efficiently throughout the day.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage time effectively while working on multiple projects.
