Nursery Chef
Penguin Day Care are looking for a cook who will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen.
Working hours are 9:00am - 1.00pm Monday to Friday (20 hours a week)
Perfect for in-between school hours
We are looking for someone who:
*Is calm under pressure
*Able to use your own initiative
*Excellent understanding of allergies/allergens and infection control is essential
*High standards of cleaning, cleanliness and hygiene
*Is able to create an exciting menu with a variety of meals
*Is able to work independently and as part of a team
*At least a Level 2 in professional cookery
*Level 2 food hygiene qualification would be preferred, but not essential
The job will also require you to:
*Order food
*Stock Rotation
*Cleaning on a regular basis
*Baking sweets and savouries
*Follow the nutritional guidance for early years settings
*Working along side Safer food, Better business
Subject to enhanced DBS and excellent references.
**Training will be given** Current chef is changing role, but will be here to support the new chef where needed.
