We’re looking for an experienced professional who can handle both panel beating and spray painting end to end. You’ll assess damage, carry out structural and cosmetic repairs, prepare and paint panels to a high finish, and ensure vehicles are returned to customers on time and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess damage, prepare repair estimates, and plan workflow.
- Strip, repair, and replace panels; pull and align frames where required.
- Prepare surfaces (fill, sand, mask) and mix/match paints to OEM specs.
- Spray primer, basecoat, and clearcoat to a high standard; blend as needed.
- Finish, polish, and quality-check completed work.
- Maintain a safe, tidy workspace and accurate job records.
- Communicate progress and timelines with the team and customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a panel beater and spray painter (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
- Competent with welding, fillers, body repair tools, and spray equipment.
- Skilled in colour matching, blending, and finishing.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Physically able to operate machinery and handle workshop conditions.
- Valid driver’s licence; trade qualifications/certifications a plus.
- Knowledge of insurance repair processes and estimating is an advantage.
Pay: £40,048.82-£56,517.41 per year
