Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area
- Handle guest queries promptly, ensuring their needs are met with a friendly attitude
- Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and food handling procedures
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks when required
- Manage cash transactions accurately using the till system
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Promote specials and new menu items to maximise sales opportunities
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude is more important than prior experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling techniques will be highly valued
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions confidently
- Kitchen or culinary experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage guests and enhance their experience
