We are seeking a Community Tree Planting Officer (Seasonal) to join our dynamic and effective Conservation and Engagement team.

Salary: £31,761.26 to £34,914.86
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31st March 2027

About the role:
The Community Tree Planting Officer (Seasonal) will engage with and support communities in developing and implementing community tree planting across Fife and contributing to Fife Climate Forest outcomes. The postholder will work closely with other partner agencies including Fife Council, third sector organisations, community groups and volunteers.
About you:
We are looking for a driven and proactive individual and you will bring with you the following skills and experience.
- Educated to SCQF Level 8, which includes an HND or equivalent in a relevant environment subject.
- Demonstrable experience in a relevant position will also be considered.
- Experience of practical countryside or land management, including tree planting and tree care.
- Ability to work with and co-ordinate a wide variety of people to achieve desired outcomes (Work together).
- Organisational skills and confidence to take initiative as required.
- Adaptable and motivational team leader.
- Experience of delivering projects with a wide range of stakeholder groups.
- A good time manager, able to manage competing priorities.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Confident administrator.
- Ability to travel to and work from various locations throughout Fife independently.
- Good verbal communication skills with a friendly, approachable style.
- Report writing skills.
- Experience of organising and delivering events in a community setting and with a variety of groups.
- IT Skills (Embrace technology & information), competent with Microsoft suite of products and on-line conferencing platforms.
- Confident leading large (20+) groups.
