Electrical Operations Manager
Responsible to Managing Director
Calpe Electrical Ltd (Gibraltar) is searching for a skilled Electrical Operations Manager to manage our technical growing team. In this role, it will be your job to oversee the work of our electrical engineers throughout multiple projects as well as overall management of the overall electrical team.
Calpe Electrical is solely based in Gibraltar and carries out all types of electrical installations in various sectors including housing, education, commercial, residential and sporting environments. The company employs a team of over 20 electrical engineers and assistants as well as a supporting administration team.
In addition to managing the technical team, your tasks will also include assigning sub-contractors on jobs, maintaining project management records of electrical jobs, and providing guidance to those who you supervise. Your role will also involve preparing our team to work on electrical projects. You will be assisted by a project manager, electrical foreman and a project accountant assistant (who’s role will be to maintain records and documentation relating to all projects).
Electrical Supervisor Responsibilities:
Some of the tasks that you will complete in this area include
· Prepare the necessary design requirement and quotations
· Estimate time and material needed to complete projects
· Supervise the electrical teams as they work on site, providing guidance and instruction as required
· Ensure the work complies with all health and safety requirements
· Perform electrical work as needed.
· Ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is strongly preferred
· BS7671 18th Electrical Edition is required
· In-depth knowledge of the electrical industry in general
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Proven knowledge of engineering design software and equipment
· Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical systems
· Excellent analytical skills
· Outstanding written and oral communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of electronic engineering codes
· Ability to write technical reports and documentation
Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
