IB Chinese A Online Tutor

Prominent Education, part of the Xinlung Group, specialises in high-quality, tailored tuition across a wide range of subjects. Due to increasing demand, we are seeking an experienced IB Chinese A tutor to deliver high-quality online tuition and structured academic support to IB Diploma Programme students.
Candidate requirements
Essential
- Proven track record of successfully teaching or tutoring IB Chinese A, particularly Chinese A: Literature SL and/or HL
- Strong understanding of the IB Chinese A curriculum, assessment objectives and marking criteria
- Familiarity with key IB Chinese A assessment components, including: Paper 1 guided literary analysis and Paper 2 comparative literary essay
- Ability to design and deliver a structured, long-term IB Chinese A curriculum:close textual analysis, authorial choices and literary techniques, thesis development, analytical essay structure, comparative literary analysis, academic Chinese writing, oral analysis and presentation
- Degree in Chinese, Chinese Literature, Education or a closely related subject
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Able and willing to provide an enhanced DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
Preferred
- IB examiner experience (strong advantage)
- School teaching experience, or experience teaching in international / independent schools
- Experience creating Chinese literature study packs, Paper 1 resources, Paper 2 comparison materials and Individual Oral preparation resources
