Your Role & What We Need From You
The Finance Assistant plays a crucial part in supporting the financial operations of our three London hotels in the Kensington area.
As Finance Assistant, you will take ownership of the Accounts Payable function across our three hotels, ensuring invoices, payments and supplier accounts are managed accurately and efficiently. While Accounts Payable will be a key responsibility of the role, this position offers much broader exposure to hotel finance, giving you the opportunity to develop your accounting knowledge and gain hands-on experience across a variety of financial processes.
You will work closely with the wider finance team, supporting month-end processes, bank reconciliations, intercompany accounting, prepayments, employee expenses, CAPEX, contract management and other financial activities.

Key Requirements:
- Previous Accounts Payable or hospitality experience would be an advantage, but is not essential.
- A genuine interest in building a career in finance, with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
- The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.
- A willingness to learn new systems and processes.
- Knowledge of Sage 200 and Opera PMS would be advantageous.
- Previous experience of working within hospitality and/or accounting is desirable.
- Currently studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous.
Your Responsibilities
As Finance Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the complete Accounts Payable function for three hotels via Sage 200 and Paperless.
- Processing all supplier invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reviewing and processing purchase orders.
- Posting prepayments and intercompany entries.
- Reconciling supplier statements with Sage 200 on a monthly basis.
- Reviewing aged creditor reports regularly and resolving any variances.
- Processing credit card and employee expenses on Sage 200.
- Preparing the monthly payment run report and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
- Supporting the finance team with the month-end closing process.
- Performing bank reconciliations and investigating differences.
- Maintaining the contract register and supporting financial administration across the hotels.
- Updating and monitoring the monthly CAPEX progress register.
- Supporting other areas of the finance function as required.
- Taking part in ad-hoc finance projects and tasks as your knowledge and confidence grow.
