Here for people. Here for communities. Here for you.
Make a real impact every day as Static Care Worker at Hafod.
We’re looking for kind, caring and reliable people to join our team at both our Dol-Yr-Hafren and Cwrt Hir Extra Care Schemes. You’ll support people to live independently, provide wellbeing activities and routines and offer companionship.
It’s hands on rewarding work where you can genuinely make a difference to the people you support, and no two days are ever the same.
We put people first, offering great training, supportive teams and opportunities to grow your career in care.
Please note: We’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
This is a 0-hour contract with consistent part-time hours available. Working patterns can be discussed at interview.
Non drivers are welcomed as work is based on a static site, however duties will involve shopping with clients, outreach and domestic tasks and you may have to travel for training.
Some of our homes may have limited public transport links, and some shifts start early or finish late. You’ll therefore need reliable transport to and from work.
What you'll be doing
-
Support people in their own homes with personal care and everyday tasks, helping them live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible.
-
Build positive, trusting relationships by treating every person with kindness, dignity and respect.
-
Encourage choice and independence, supporting people to do as much as they can for themselves.
-
Work closely with colleagues, families and health professionals to provide person-centred care and respond to changing needs.
-
Keep accurate records, follow safe working practices and help create a positive, supportive environment for everyone.
You can find the full job description attached for a more detailed overview of the role.
What you’ll bring
-
A kind, patient and caring approach, with a genuine desire to support people.
-
Good communication skills and the ability to build trust, listen and work positively with others.
-
Reliability and willingness to learn, with confidence to follow guidance, routines and care plans.
-
A respectful, person-centred attitude, valuing each individual's choices, dignity and independence.
-
Emotional resilience and a calm manner, especially when supporting residents with varied needs.
Previous care experience isn’t essential, your compassion, reliability and desire to help others are what count. We’ll teach you what you need, and you’ll have the chance to complete a QCF qualification in Health and Social Care, which is a recognised award that supports your skills and career development in Care.
Please note that all successful applicants must be registered, or be prepared to register, with Social Care Wales (SCW) as a requirement of the role.
