About the role:
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join our Treatment & Disposal team, focusing on our Waste Recovery Park operations, near Port Clarence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven business developer who thrives on building relationships, opening new doors, winning profitable business and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and managing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
- Growing revenue and profitability across hazardous waste treatment and disposal services
- Building strong relationships with new and existing customers across the UK
- Leading commercial proposals, quotations and tender submissions
- Negotiating contracts and driving long-term customer partnerships
- Collaborating with operational, technical and commercial teams to deliver outstanding service
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell Augean's wider portfolio of specialist services
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to support business growth
What We're Looking For
- A successful track record in business development, sales or account management
- Experience managing customer portfolios with revenues exceeding £1m
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- The ability to identify opportunities, influence stakeholders and close deals
- Experience working within hazardous waste, waste management, environmental services, construction waste, contaminated land or related sectors would be highly advantageous
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to travel
- Full UK driving licence
