Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to join our team. In this pivotal role, support the Technical Manager in the daily operations of the Quality Assurance Department to achieve the quality, ethical and technical objectives of the company. Maintain and develop the product/legal compliance requirements of the company and customers
Key Responsibilities: Support the Technical Manager with;
Compliance & Regulatory
- product compliance approvals through external testing and certification bodies (e.g. SGS, Eurofins, Intertek).
- tracking changes in UK and EU product legislation
- maintaining technical files, Declarations of Conformity, and supporting compliance documentation.
- supporting GPSR, REACH, RoHS, WEEE, EMC, Toy Safety, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- reviewing product artwork and packaging to ensure compliance with regulatory and retailer requirements.
Supplier Management
- liaising with suppliers and China teams to obtain compliance documentation, test reports, declarations, and technical specifications.
- monitoring supplier response times and escalating overdue actions where necessary.
- supporting supplier onboarding and compliance assessments.
- maintaining supplier compliance records and updating internal databases.
Testing & Quality
- coordinating product testing programmes and managing sample submissions.
- performing IQC inspections on goods in our warehouse facilities.
- filing test reports and inspection reports, specifically DUPRO and FRI.
- monitoring APQP schedules to ensure products meet launch and shipment deadlines.
- supporting investigations into product failures, non-conformities, and customer complaints.
Packaging & Artwork
- reviewing packaging, labels, manuals, and warranty information for compliance accuracy.
- project managing artwork approval workflows with internal stakeholders
- ensuring mandatory product markings and warnings are present and correct.
Environmental Compliance & Producer Responsibility
- managing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) obligations for packaging across relevant markets.
- collecting and maintaining packaging composition data to support EPR reporting requirements.
- coordinating and submitting packaging data to external compliance schemes and regulatory bodies.
- Monitoring and supporting compliance with UK Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) requirements, including obtaining recycled content declarations and evidence from suppliers.
- maintaining records and documentation to support Plastic Packaging Tax reporting and audits.
- coordinating Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and battery compliance activities, including product categorisation, producer registrations, and data submissions.
- working closely with suppliers to improve packaging sustainability, increase recycled content, and reduce environmental impact.
Cross-Functional Support
- supporting audits, inspections, and retailer compliance reviews.
- participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance processes and supplier performance.
· Assist with merchandising and support of all company exhibitions and showrooms as and when required.
· Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the Manager or Director
Pay: £35,000.00 per year
