Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding and fabrication expertise, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and work with various materials. Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using TIG welding techniques, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards
- Fabricate components from sheet metal and other materials, following detailed technical drawings and plans
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to assemble parts and structures
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision, maintaining quality standards throughout the process
- Conduct basic inspections of finished work for defects or inconsistencies
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and optimise workflow efficiency
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques relevant to welding standards
- Experience working with sheet metal, fabrication processes, and assembly tasks
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during fabrication processes
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and metalwork environments
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
