Overview
We are looking for a practical, reliable and experienced maintenance person with a general knowledge of building skills to join our small, friendly team on a private rural estate.
This is a varied hands-on role which includes the maintenance of holiday accommodation, residential properties, some ground work and infrastructure. No two days are the same and the successful candidate will be a problem solver, who enjoys working independently and as part of a team, taking pride in maintaining high standards across the Estate.
The role would suit someone with a broad range of multi-trade skills to carry out internal and external repairs such as basic plumbing and electrics (but don’t need to be fully qualified at this), masonry, roofing, plastering, carpentry and some outdoor maintenance, with an eye for detail and a good finish.
Key responsibilities
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Decorating, painting and minor refurbishment work
- Basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Basic electric maintenance
- Carpentry and joinery repairs
- External maintenance (eg gutter cleaning, pressure washing, track repairs)
- Maintaining tools, equipment and maintenance records
- Experience of digger and tractor driving helpful but not essential
- Chainsaw and spray experience helpful but not essential
Experience
- Proven experience in multi-trade maintenance or a similar role
- Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general handyman duties.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to estate maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose issues efficiently and implement effective solutions promptly.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with estate staff and external contractors.
- A recognised qualification or certification in relevant trades is advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
