Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for fabricating and assembling various wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery, carpentry, and the use of both hand and power tools. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
- Mixture of workshop and onsite installations
- Perform painting and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality appearances on completed projects.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople including electricians and masons when required for integrated projects.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in the design process
- Sourcing of relevant materials
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to joinery work.
- Knowledge of joinery techniques and best practices in woodworking.
- Ability to read technical drawings and plans accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical fitness as the role may involve lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
- A valid driver's licence
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
