Lettings Negotiator
Full-Time
Harris & Co is looking for a motivated, confident and approachable individual to join our busy lettings team in Fleetwood.
This is a varied, customer-focused position covering residential lettings and the day-to-day management of our short-term accommodation portfolio. The successful applicant will work closely with landlords, tenants, guests, contractors and other members of the Harris & Co team.
Working Hours
The full-time position includes Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Marketing residential and short-term rental properties
- Registering applicants and arranging property viewings and valuations
- Conducting accompanied property viewings
- Liaising with landlords and tenants throughout the letting process
- Negotiating tenancy terms and renewals
- Managing maintenance enquiries and coordinating repairs
- Responding to guest enquiries relating to our short-term accommodation
- Taking payments securely over the telephone
- Handling client money in accordance with relevant regulations and company procedures
- Responding to general lettings enquiries, both internally and externally
- Keeping property, landlord, tenant and applicant records accurate and up to date
- Helping to ensure properties meet the required health and safety standards
- Providing excellent customer service at every stage
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in sales, lettings, hospitality or customer service is preferred, but not essential
- A full UK driving licence is essential
- GCSEs, or equivalent qualifications, including English and Maths
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good numeracy and administrative skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- A professional, friendly and approachable manner
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy working environment
Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
