Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Extrusion operator to join our team in a role of Production Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating extrusion machines (plastics), monitoring the quality of the product, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The ideal candidates will have experience in the extrusion industry, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The role will be based on 48 hours per week. 4 days on, 4 days off. 12 hour shifts- both day and night. (1 Month Days/ 1 Month Nights)
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of tooling & equipment.
- Monitor the extrusion process and adjust settings as needed.
- Inspect and test products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Cleaning of the extrusion equipment and working areas.
- Maintain records of production and material usage.
- Perform routine maintenance on extrusion equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the extrusion process.
- Operate extrusion machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in extrusion line manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Previous warehouse experience including inventory control and organisation.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; capable of performing basic repairs or modifications.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively under pressure.
- Good communication skills to liaise with team members and other departments.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or manufacturing technology are desirable but not essential.
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
