What You’ll Be Doing…
To support the delivery of a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme within the home and the community, in line with relationship‑centred care principles. The role supports residents’ wellbeing, independence and lifestyle choices, provides safe reliable transport, assists with care where required, and contributes positively to the wider life of the home.
You will:
- Support and deliver inclusive group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities and needs.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Monitor and feedback on residents' responses, preferences and wellbeing.
- Assist with activity planning, reviews, events, fundraising and community outings.
- Support residents with mobility, personal care and daily living needs when required.
- Observe and report changes in residents' physical, emotional or behavioural wellbeing.
- Complete activity records, risk assessments and transport documentation accurately.
- Promote a safe, positive environment that balances independence, dignity and choice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to enhance resident experiences
- Drive the home's vehicles to safely transport residents to activities, appointments and community events.
What We’re Looking For…
Essential
- Experience delivering activities in a care, support or wellbeing setting.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and resident engagement.
- Ability to create meaningful, inclusive and enjoyable activities.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Confident record-keeping and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of risk assessment and safe activity delivery.
- Ability to motivate, inspire and support others.
- Confident driving other vehicles
Desirable
- Experience supporting adults with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury or learning disabilities.
- Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Experience organising community events and resident outings.
- Training in therapeutic activities, behaviour support or related approaches.
