Food Services Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, including basic cooking and food assembly
- Support catering services for events and daily meal service
- Serve food to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and serving stations
- Help with inventory management and stock replenishment
- Follow health and safety regulations during all food handling activities
- Support the team in setting up dining areas and clearing after service
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- Basic cooking skills and experience with meal preparation
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
- A genuine interest in culinary arts and food service industry development
