Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time, highly motivated administrator and typist to support Yeovil Orthopaedic Clinic, part of the Kingston Wing Private Patient Unit at Yeovil Hospital. All profits relating to private patients are re-invested into Yeovil Hospital to support the NHS and patient care. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic candidate with exceptional interpersonal and strong IT skills. An eye for detail is essential. You must be able to work well within the team environment but also take responsibility for your own individual actions. You will work with the Practice Manager to ensure the efficient running of the practice and with the Kingston Wing administration team. Main duties, tasks & skills required
The main duties will include:
Answering telephone and email enquiries
Booking appointments and updating diaries and clinics
Raising invoices for patient appointments
Medical audio typing, including printing and sending relevant documentation
This role will entail a busy environment, so the candidate must be able to work well under pressure, be flexible and have an ability to adapt to varying tasks. Experience within an administrative role would be desirable, but a willingness to learn is essential. A background in healthcare would be an advantage but is not essential. There is an opportunity for progression through ongoing professional development and achievement.
