Job Overview
Stem + Stem is seeking an experienced Waiter/Waitress with a background in casual fine dining to join our floor team. This role suits someone confident delivering polished yet relaxed service, managing their own section, and building strong rapport with guests.
There is scope for the right candidate to progress into additional responsibility, including supporting cashing up and locking up the restaurant, so reliability, professionalism and attention to detail are essential.
Duties
- Provide warm, attentive and professional service throughout the guest experience
- Confidently run a section in a casual fine dining environment
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring high presentation and service standards
- Offer informed menu and wine recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Support upselling of food, wine and additional offerings where appropriate
- Handle guest enquiries and resolve issues calmly and professionally
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety
- Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Assist with end-of-day procedures, with scope to progress to cashing up and locking up
Qualifications
- Previous experience in casual fine dining or quality-led restaurants is essential
- Confident, friendly and professional manner with guests
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Trustworthy and detail-oriented, with the ability to take on responsibility
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in food, wine and hospitality, with a desire to grow within the role

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
