About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Freelance Dietitian to join our growing team and provide in-person consultations, with a particular focus on supporting clients with eating disorders and disordered eating.
Our priority is finding a dietitian with strong experience and confidence in Eating Disorders. Experience in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)/renal nutrition and/or gut health would be a significant advantage and provide opportunities to work with a broader range of clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently while being part of a supportive and established dietetic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based in-person dietetic consultations.
- Assess and support clients with eating disorders and disordered eating.
- Develop personalised nutrition care plans based on individual clinical needs.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and support throughout clients' treatment journeys.
- Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Liaise and collaborate with GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals where appropriate.
- Work within professional and clinical guidelines and recognise when escalation or multidisciplinary input is required.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC registered Dietitian – this is essential.
- Recognised qualification in Dietetics.
- Strong clinical experience working with eating disorders and/or disordered eating.
- Confidence managing clients independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, non-judgemental and client-centred approach.
- Strong clinical judgement and commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance for freelance practice.
Desirable Experience
We would particularly welcome applicants who also have experience in:
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) / renal nutrition
- Gut health and gastrointestinal conditions, including IBS and other digestive disorders
- Private practice
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary eating-disorder team
Working Arrangement
This is a freelance/self-employed position providing in-person consultations.
You will work alongside an established team of dietitians, with administrative and client-care support provided by our wider team.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is clinically confident, reliable and genuinely passionate about providing excellent client care.
The ideal dietitian will be warm and approachable, with the ability to build strong therapeutic relationships, particularly with clients who may feel anxious or vulnerable around food and nutrition.
HCPC registration and eating disorder experience are essential. Experience in CKD and/or gut health would be a fantastic bonus.
