The Opportunity
Based at our Appley Bridge (Wigan) site, Chorley Concrete is looking for a professional and reliable Class 2 Volumetric Driver to join our expanding team.
This is a specialized role for a driver who wants more than just a "shunting" job. You will be operating a mobile concrete plant, managing on-site mixes, and providing a hands-on service to our local customers.
The Role
- Driving & Operation: Operating a Class 2 Volumetric mixer from our East Quarry base to sites across Wigan and the surrounding North West.
- On-Site Production: Calibrating the onboard computer to mix precise amounts of concrete to customer specifications.
- Physical Work: Assisting with the delivery process, including barrowing concrete where required.
- Customer Interface: Providing excellent customer service and expert advice on-site.
- Flexibility: Training at Appley Bridge with the future opportunity to work from our Lymm site if desired.
Requirements
- Licence: A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with current CPC and Digi Card.
- Experience: Previous experience with volumetric mixers is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Physicality: You must be fit, healthy, and willing to carry out barrowing work.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with every other Saturday required.
