Mirai Energy Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to carry out repairs and maintenance across occupied residential properties in and around Swindon.
This is a hands-on role where plumbing will be your main trade, alongside wider multi-trade works including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing repairs including leaks, hot and cold water systems, immersion tanks and bathroom/kitchen works.
- Complete wall and floor tiling.
- Carry out first and second fix carpentry.
- Complete patch plastering and general making good.
- Carry out painting and decorating to a professional standard.
- Record completed work accurately using a mobile job management system.
- Work closely with supervisors, planners and administrative teams.
- Complete risk assessments and follow Health & Safety procedures.
- Support apprentices where required.
- Work across occupied residential properties.
- Participate in out-of-hours or emergency callout rotas when required.
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, or equivalent.
- Valid Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification.
- Experience across multiple trades including tiling, carpentry, plastering and decorating.
- Ability to safely isolate and test electrical components.
- Previous social housing repairs and maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong Health & Safety awareness.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Own well-maintained tool kit.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
