In this role, you will focus on leading the day-to-day operations and continuous improvement of an engineering team within Grid Automation. You will allocate work, manage priorities, and resolve conflicts while supporting engineers through technical and professional challenges. Your ability to maintain consistent standards and ways of working will be crucial as you represent your domain in discussions with Project Managers, customers, and other discipline leads. How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the allocation of work and management of priorities and conflicts within the team.

Own Capability and Standards: Ensure consistent ways of working across the team, driving quality and efficiency.

Coach and Develop Engineers: Identify capability gaps and shape development plans to foster technical and professional growth.

Influence Hiring and Promotions: Contribute to building a strong, well-rounded team through input on hiring and promotion decisions.

Serve as Senior Point of Contact: Represent your domain in project discussions, collaborating with customers and cross-discipline teams.
What You Bring

Proven Leadership Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or mentor engineers, with a focus on their development.

Strong Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to represent your domain to customers and senior leadership.

Judgment Under Pressure: A track record of making sound decisions while balancing team well-being, delivery pressure, and quality.

Technical Credibility: Senior-level experience in High Voltage substation automation, SCADA, RTU, and OT networking, enabling you to challenge and support the team effectively.

Collaborative Leadership Style: A servant-leadership approach that empowers others while holding accountability.
EU citizens who are willing to relocate to the UK will be considered.
