Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Forest School Leader Level 3 to inspire children through outdoor learning experiences in a natural woodland environment. In this role, you will facilitate engaging activities that foster curiosity, independence and environmental awareness. Your enthusiasm for outdoor education and commitment to inclusive learning will help children develop vital skills while connecting with nature. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver dynamic outdoor lessons and activities tailored to the developmental needs of children, including toddlers and those with special educational needs.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where children feel confident to explore and learn outdoors.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance to ensure full participation.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their curiosity and independence through hands-on experiences in nature.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers to monitor progress and share insights about each child's development.
- Maintain safety protocols by conducting regular risk assessments of the outdoor area and ensuring all activities adhere to health and safety standards.
- Document children's progress, behavior, and achievements during outdoor sessions for ongoing developmental assessment.
Skills
- Experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers or early learners.
- Knowledge of special education practices and experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage children, parents, and team members.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and adapt outdoor activities that promote learning through play.
- Background in teaching or tutoring with a focus on experiential or outdoor education.
- Familiarity with toddler care routines and developmental milestones.
- Enthusiasm for environmental education and connecting children with nature in a meaningful way.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
