Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, presentable and efficient Ice Cream Server to join our growing team. This role involves providing excellent customer service in a lively, fast-paced environment, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, be attentive to detail, and possess strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Need to be 25 or over for insurance purposes and have a clean UK driving licence
Duties
- Serve a variety of ice creams and toppings with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Prepare and assemble ice cream orders according to customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and giving change
- Upsell additional products such as toppings or speciality items to maximise sales opportunities
- Assist in restocking supplies and ensuring the display is attractive and well-presented
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure hygiene and safety compliance at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene (not essential)
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous (not essential)
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a lively environment
