Here at RIG, we are looking for a reliable and hardworking team member to join our operations. This position is based at our Pomphlett site in Plymouth and will support operations for RIG Roseland.
The successful candidate will primarily drive one of our 3.5-ton cage collection vehicles, collecting a variety of waste streams, including commercial and holiday-home waste.
When not out on collections, you will assist with general yard duties, helping to ensure that operations run safely and efficiently.
Main responsibilities
- Driving a 3.5-ton cage collection vehicle across Devon and Cornwall.
- Collecting a range of waste streams from commercial and holiday-home customers.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining high safety standards.
- Providing a professional and reliable service to customers.
- Assisting with general yard duties when required.
What we're looking for
- A full UK driving licence (Category B).
- A positive and flexible attitude.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a small and friendly team.
- Good levels of physical fitness and confidence with manual handling tasks.
- Previous experience in waste collection, recycling or a similar role would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.
Shift pattern
This role operates on a five-day working week, with shifts scheduled between Monday and Sunday according to operational requirements.
